I don't know, I followed the thread and it didn't seem conclusive, esp with the main criticizer stating "OTOH, it's a neat example of a fixed precision integer type" I use it a lot, and yes, it is missing some casts

I think the money type is awesome! Under the hood it uses int (I believe int32 even on 64bit) so it takes 50% less space than decimal. So if your only dealing with US currency, why not love the money type?

Similar background, only got hooked on the commodore BBS scene... I'd ride my bmx bike holding a box of floppies to a friends to hack on, with the warm smell of manure rising up through the air. (Turlock)

I have 2 short-codes through twilio and the 30-40% cheaper SMS rate grabbed my attention. I love twilio and never managed to get far when trying to figure out how to go direct to the carriers and get better pricing (and twilio was never in

Very cool, does anyone know a way to set a visual indicator (diff cursor?) when in edit mode?

I think it's a great idea as well. Would like to see jqLite come out as well and be a separate project. Then those using jquery don't pay for jqLite, and even beter, for a quick landing page I'd be inclined to use jqLite na

Even modest db work usually involves concurrency. Mongo locks. Postgres rocks. [1] 1: http://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/static/mvcc-intro.htm...

We use node-postgres and this is not the case. I think node-postgres has one of the cleanest implementations of LISTEN due to nodejs event callbacks

What's the big deal with getting bignum into js? Everything else I can agree with, but not having 64bit int support in a server side language has to hurt. (just look at most node db adapters and bigints are handled as strings)

The rethinkdb guys think it's important and have joins in their nosql product. Everytime I try nosql first thing I miss is the ability to query as the need arises without a refactor.

Thanks for mentioning Ractive ( http://www.ractivejs.org/ ), first time I've seen it. I'm wondering why you would prefer angular for a form-centric app? I've used angular and rivets.js + backbone with success,

Jeff, we use twilio for short codes and sell primarily to non-profits. This is awesome for those that want their own short codes, but I'd really like to pass a discounted rate to non-profits through!

Our customers are doing millions with ACH, most pricing of quality ACH providers is 0% + 25-40 cents and a $20/month service fee. So if the 1% was capped at $20, I could bring over a lot of business from low-risk non-profits.
