http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/faqs.aspx Q. What is the difference between Office and Office 365? Office is productivity software (including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote) that is installed on your desktop or lap

I'm not sure if you didn't read to the end, but he's clearly been removed, despite lukewarm protests to the contrary. "I'm not sure what they're doing [...] but if I was there I'd [...]". I'm reading between the lines here, but he's not sho

Pretty sure they see the SAS office stuff as their bread and butter going forward - they have been steering SMB to office 365 for more than a year.

Reminds me of the old expression: "fast, cheap, good. pick two." When we were largely buying shrink wrapped software they almost all came with decent sized manuals (quality varied, of course). He tagged the post with a bunch of open source

As a teaching moment? I've been told a story about a group of embassy staffers (state department, not the other kind) that were in the habit of being rather loose with sensitive conversations over the local telephones. This was during the c

Such a small set of testers especially considering how many of them will go to friends/industry probably means they are expecting to get buried under a shit storm of bugs.

If you want to be taken seriously as an online wallet then do what every other currency depository does - tell the public about your 3rd party deposit insurance, and tell your insurer about your security. Anyone unable or unwilling to secur

While they haven't announced any of it in public, it does seem hard to believe they'd be migrating running applications. It's much more likely that they're targeting nx page sharing, you'd still have build the os for both isas, but it'd all

It seems like Apple would be a pretty good candidate for the "Heterogeneous System Architecture" work AMD has been doing, x86_64 and ARM on the same SOC. Leave the x86 cores off when you don't need them.

Wait, you're suggesting that you're going to be running an x86 emulator on winrt for apps access? That is pretty unlikely to be a realistic solution unless you're only looking for very old apps - try running an arm emulator on x86 to get a

I'm pretty sure the implementation of lenses in the Unity dash is conceptually similar to pages in a web browser. You would have to switch to the shopping lens before your keystrokes were pushed to the search provider (Amazon in this case).

I'm not sure if that's darwin terminology, but calling a process that's blocking on io or in a tight loop "frozen" certainly isn't tradition in UNIX - you're much more likely to use hung or stuck. In linux specifically the term has a comple
