Great work :) When we switched from a monolith to microservices in a previous job, this was mentioned a lot - both internally and to external clients in presentations etc. I agree, I think the fact that it's not called "the [platf

So Google are doing their best to 'kill off' URLs in Chrome and Search, but are simultaneously launching a new gTLD with rules that dictate exactly what URLs under .new should use? This seems like a case of 'the left hand doe

Google bid for the gTLD ( https://newgtlds.icann.org/en/ ) and won it ( https://icannwiki.org/.new ), so they have full control over it.

I'll check that out thanks. I had heard that a few other fan controllers don't work but NBFC looks promising.

I have a Clevo N131WU and whilst Clevo's are good for the price, the poor battery life and loud fans (without their Windows-only 'Control Centre' software) would prevent me buying one again. It's definitely not a MBP com

Good point - I agree, and I'm really disappointed it didn't play out like that. Instead the UK has had political stalemate for 3.5 years and even now it doesn't look like we're closer to 'a deal'.

For those downvoting, there is truth in this e.g.: * Ireland voting (twice) on the Nice Treaty - 2001 then 2002 * Denmark voting (twice) Maastricht Treaty - first 1992 then 1993 * Ireland (again) this time on the Lisbon Treaty - 2008 then 2

I agree it's a big deal. However I think the stress/division is coming from political rows and ill-felling more than genuine discussions on the UK's future relationship with Europe (and/or Ireland).

It's unfortunately very similar here in the UK: whilst most people are 'getting on with it', there's an increasing amount of division and stress due to the whole Brexit debacle.

Just to clarify that - having had a baby in the UK in the past 3 months - what you say isn't correct (at least for England and Wales; I can't comment on Scotland and NI but I very much doubt they have different systems). Mothers a

It's the eternal debate: is content truly king? Can you just push awesome content out there, and get floods of traffic in? Or is it a "If a tree falls in a forest..." type situation in that an unknown website with great conte

Sure, and whilst this is _slowly_ changing, a large part is the high up-front cost. A Kia e-Niro is £32,995 (including the recently cut Government subsidy) whilst a similar size+spec petrol car (The Kia Rio 3) is £17,285. The Nissan Leaf is

OPEC are much less powerful than the decades of past - thankfully - but it'll be a while before oil will be _truly_ priced by supply and demand and nothing else.
