75% of my contacts who use a smartphone, already use WhatsApp. i dont see this taking off unless they provide some kind of bridge to existing services to ensure cross plattform capabilities.

you have to take into account that cost of living will not be anywhere near sf cost of living in germany or austria. i cant say anything about austria but in germany 36-40k€ would be a good starting salary for someone with a Diplom or M.Sc

its clever because not every us startup works without localisation everywhere. ebay/groupon and to a certain degree facebook need localization and if they arent able to get this fast clones will appear and people will flock to these clones

cans make some kind of comeback. thez were always there for energy drinks (red bull etc) and beer (5,0 , holsten..) and i see them more and more (in small quantities) for coke/pepsi etc.

depends on the day but 50€ incl all fees is not uncommon for ryanair.last trip to london was 65€ for 2 persons without additional bags. my trip to the airport +parking was more than my ticket.
