Agreed, it is far from the future of super computing. But it provides an interesting first iteration for a potential future model of income off of websites.

I had the same confusion, and the sentence which explains it was less than clear to me - I had to reread it to be clear on what it was saying. That's damn impressive.

I'm reading "The Starfish and the Spider" right now, though I'm early into the book, this system fascinates me. I find the illiteracy which both videos touched on equally fascinating as the system evolved around the workers' abilities rathe

Kudos to you for saying and admitting the hard things for the startup entrepreneur. Failing sucks. Struggling to not fail sucks even more because it can just drain you. Best of luck :)

I'm listening to it now, I'm hoping to get it added to my cable package so I don't have to follow it online or on my phone.

They're saying that we've had his body for a week, it's only coming to light tonight because word leaked through congressional aides. Presumably they were waiting for confirmation beyond doubt.

Interesting. According to commentators, on NBC I think, he was killed a week ago during a drone strike and we've been waiting for complete confirmation beyond any doubt.

While I am over the moon for Square and the investment from such a giant in the market, it is also one of those things which irks me. As if Google were to invest in DuckDuckGo, or something like that. Would this investment (Visa in Square)

Any blog post which sets up a table about currencies, but includes the phrase "too lazy to look up" immediately turns me off.

As one of the premium Newsblur users, I love this. I also love bugging Samuel with bugs and suggestions almost daily, the best part is - he replies! :)

This makes so much more sense. I heard he was working on duolingo but could not figure out how a translation application could work as a captcha. The video explains that it isn't a captcha technology, instead it's an app about translating,

After my desk is made, I intend to get a custom coffee table made and hope to put in a recessed outlet with usb plugs for easy charging of phones and laptops.

A friend pointed out that the volt meter they used had "google" written on it. Do they host third party companies?

Also of interest is how this number relates to the non-members. Is the 100k 1/10th, 1/100th, 1/1000th their unpaid readership?

This reminds me of the article about the developers and testers who worked on software for the shuttle. In all the years, they only had 6 bugs ever reported on the shuttle, all of which were fairly minor as I recall. It's so true that bugs

I tried Skribit and found it very hard to gain traction with readers, it ended up being more of a site suggestion box than a post idea resource. I've followed Paul for a while, as a fellow GT alum, so I look forward to seeing what he's got

I like the Fridge, it seems fairly solid, simple to use, and fun. But there are two main problems with it: 1) Getting friends etc. to buy in. Until I do, I'm suffering from the ghost town problem. 2) There isn't a compelling use-case for me

How does one profit off of this data. Are there agencies which sell it, or is it marketed to companies in some sort of package?

Tl;dr - Jay-Z featured a previously unknown wine in a music video, suddenly it is selling at a luxury price ($300 a bottle) for a bottle of wine experts say should be $60-$90 a bottle. The writer makes a case that Jay-Z has financial intere
