Google Voice is pretty much not available outside the US and hence is lagging behind absolutely all the other numerous other VoIP solutions out there, which mostly are available globally. So yeah. The only way they could be using Google Voi

Technically you can use XNA too, and you can make a browser using that. Ofcourse that means you have to toss away all the platforms goods and libraries you have and produce that on your own as well. Not really the sexy option, no. So not

Considering I know noone who uses Google Voice, nobody who uses FaceTime and a million people and two who uses Skype, this article seems kinda silly. I guess the lesson which people should learn (especially the people in the US), is that

Running Chrome 7.0.517.44 here, and all I get is a simple on/off/exceptions menu. Your statement might be true for future releases, but unless you are running nightlies, Chrome does currently not have this as a builtin feature.

Clearly you have not ventured too far outside the "safe" en-US cultures ;) In the Scandinavian languages (Danish, Swedish and Norwegian) "aa" is (for whatever historical reasons) considered a synonym for "å", which is that last letter of th

It doesn't work too well on non-US keyboards. For instance I can't type @ (Alt-gr/Right-alt 2), $ (Alt-gr 4) or any of the following: {[]} (alt-gr 7-0). Welcome to Norwegian keyboard layout btw. I'm guessing it might the browser blocking

The power consumption argument was also applied to SSDs partly replacing HDDs in the server - anyone know how adoption of that is progressing? All tests I've seen seems to conclude that the power-savings are marginal, if there at all. It

It was indeed a horrible upgrade experience and it really blows my mind how Samsung can create such a great phone and so horrible Windows-software. If you want to give it another try, I covered how I got it working in this thread over at re

Even though I never fully got the hang of F#, I must agree on this one. I like C# as a language, but too many magic keywords just starts smelling wrong. Having a compiler do work for you and simplify your code is nice and you wont see me co

I wouldn't go so far to say as there is anything wrong in closures itself, as much as a special case with regard to how it plays out in combination with the way the iterator pattern is integrated into the language itself. I agree that in th

I'm not debating that RAM is faster than disk. I'm debating that you need to have the entire DB in RAM to get good performance. Most of the time, less than 10% of your DB represents the active working-set of your data and a good database-sy

My point was really that this is plain old HTML and should degrade gracefully. Currently Im not able to sign up on a modern webkit-based browser and that's not too flattering for a otherwise rather simple webpage.

I disagree. His main objection seems to be thatfor IPv6 to work, administrators would (shock) have to administer IPv6. As he says: They would 1. have to acquire IPv6 address-space and 2. they will have to add it to their DNS. That's it. On

As a side note, the correct response for security is not using giant NAT routers. It's getting rid of Windows. For an otherwise reasonable comment, I have to say: What a load of bull. The only machine I have ever gotten hacked was a Linux
