Oh come on. The article is more than extensive enough. And just how much is there really to explore in the multi-platform angle? "DirectX 11 will be supported on Windows, next revision of the Xbox, while OpenGL 3, if ever shipped, will be

That is (as far as I know) only voice-matching. It matches the name you said to whatever pre-recorded read in name you have assigned to a contact. So it's not like it actually understands what you say, more that this input "pretty much" mat

So basically he thinks a killer idea is to 1. use a phone, 2. to do voice recognition, 3. to send message as text, 4. to recipient which somehow will get the same message read as if spoken originally. So what he is saying that every phone s

For as long as it works, this is actually a rather nice hack of the Apple ad-hoc developers distribution model. I guess we'll see soon enough if that Apple remote kill feature is real or not.

So they have master servers and replication. Not to mention they've covered up for MySQLs lack of ability to kill heavy queries automatically by making some hacky perl-script. Something tells me using MySQL didn't really help them much, as

You know. Looking at this, and for a second ignoring I probably need to buy a Mac as well to develop for the iPhone, I'm pretty sure I will never ever hack together a small app for shits and giggles. Not on a platform like this. For instanc

That is the longest way I have ever seen anyone write "Windows 7 as an OS will fail completely because I might not be able to upgrade directly from XP". And I'm pretty sure that was the only argument the writer had.

The iPhone is a very neat phone. I used to have a Windows Mobile phone and I'm a total convert now. Too bad Apple as a company is full of shit.

I'm afraid the comments so far proves youu wrong. There are people here who use PHP. As for this, er, "MVC-code"... People say OO, MVC and design patterns and all that is overengineering things. This is was 62 lines of PHP to implement a si

I'm pretty sure every single phone I have had (and I have an 3G iPhone now) has been more open for development than this one. Every single one has had a public SDK and public development tools. And no vendor-approval needed.

I actually wanted to take screenshots on the iPhone the other day, and wondered if there was any software which would allow me to do so without jailbreaking it. This sounds like a little bit too much work though :)

Apple just shits over the Windows platform once again with its software releases. Intentional or not? I don't know, but this is hardly news.
