One way to contain is to take the potential risk serious. If that fails, it's still better to slow down the spread. Preparing a country for this potential outcome is a good thing. If it didn't end up at 60-70%, it will be in part

I can't wait for stack overflow to fall out of favor. There's few places as beginner-hostile as SO. If you get enough points, you get the close button, which effectively is telling newcomers to RTFM in nicer words.

The phone system seems pretty absurd. Just the fact that we can't trust originating phone numbers seems odd. There's lots of good ideas to go around, and there's so much in internet technology that could be applied to the pho

Most of our REST endpoints can generate HTML, JSON and some of them text/csv. It's been working really well for us since 2016.

This is probably about Warren Buffer specifically, who has donated a majority of his wealth to things like the Bill and Melinda gates foundation. You're 100% right of course that most billionaires makes the world a worse place, but I&#

Two reasons I can think of: 1. HTTP/2 was a 'new serialization' of the core HTTP data model. HTTP/3 is too, so since it was ratified it made sense to use HTTP/3 to keep things consistent. 2. QUIC still exists, but i

I don't really understand why people would feel they are shafted. The reason people get paid that much is because of supply and demand, but it has little to do with what you deserve to get. Does a software engineer really need 5-10x sa
