This is not a good idea. Developers already have an incredible amount to learn without making them devops too. This is the sort of thing than non tech management would love though. It’s a great slogan. Essentially the sign of mismanagement

I watched a documentary about ketamine use by party people. It profiled a young guy who had destroyed his bladder and needed to use a pump and hole in his belly to urinate. Really disturbing.

That’s not the reason robinhood gave at the time. Also, robinhood waited till the end of the day to lift its ban, despite other companies had followed robinhood lead lifting their bans hours earlier.

They’ve removed the original blog post that gave their rationale. If anyone can find it I’d like to read it again. The original reason was some bullshit about protecting investors from volatility.

Generalizations like “choose boring technology” are just unhelpful slogans. Truth is you should choose technology given consideration of its pros and cons, not on the basis of some slogan. There are very good reasons to use mature technolog
