I was a rotogravure printer in another life, and this post made me a bit nostalgic. In intaglio printing you usually don't see these patterns because the electrostatic assist pulls the ink out of the cells, and the colors blend togethe

I guess character? Fable is more friendly and curious while opus is a bit more deliberate and conservative.

No matter what, people who write articles about layoffs like this go straight onto my 'people to stay far away from' list. He is on it since the crying video of the last round of layoffs.

That's just weird. I don't get how something like this gets published when I need 8 rounds of approvals for a button.

Codeberg is a community steered project. If participating isn't something you're interested in, it's probably not the right fit for you. There are other Forgejo hosts (you could even be one yourself) where you can be the king

As with the AI ban this was a community decision done by a majority vote. It seems that most people commenting or writing articles in the last few days don't have a Codeberg account or never visit the forum.

Yes it is slow for training/fine-tuning decently sized LLMs and unusable for diffusion models. What are you training were you get usable speeds?

I'm genuinely disappointed with my Spark. I don't know how anyone can claim it performs decently with LLMs or diffusion models. Back when I worked in VFX in the early 2000s, we had a saying: "Render time is coffee time"

I like it. I used Claude and Qwen to build single file HTML decks in the last few months. The nicest thing with HTML decks is that you can not only ship the decks but integrate your prototype/demos in the same file integrated into the

Because we are mostly discussing a single private person that got caught for maybe 20 songs. I don't want to bring up Aaron but the taste gets saltier the more we see settlements like this.

Thomas-Rasset got 80k per song and Tennenbaum got 22k per song. The law says up to 150k per work. It was a gift.

I changed all smart speakers to retrofitted old radios with an amp and a pi. The hot word detection runs on the pi itself but whisper and LLM/task orchestrations goes over my local server with a 4080.

I hate the naming. "Open" is so abused by now that I start to distrust software that needs to explicitly state that they are "Open" because they usually aren't.
