I'm very skeptical that helicopters can't safely operate at this temperature. It's likely a certification thing capped at the highest temperature they can actually test.

Think the FAANGs are doing part moat defending and part value add. Like AI powered spreadsheet might dethrone Excel so Excel has to be AI powered. MS will probably get some additional revenue from it but I don't think it will be a re

That's fundamentally why title insurance doesn't pay out much. They exclude most defects that aren't discoverable and it's easy for everyone to find the defects that are. They are providing little actual protection hen

On the other hand, if Trump marches on Washington at the head of an army surely Biden can take him out with an airstrike. Extreme scenarios often lead to bad law.

This is one of those things that still makes me scratch my head. When I started programming my code ran on a 2-4 thread machine with a couple GB of ram because that was the size of a relatively affordable commodity server. Today my code r

I think the mind and body are fundamentally different. Like with diabetes you might have a genetic deficiency that interferes with producing insulin so you have diabetes. You inject insulin and now you don't, more or less. The mind i

>LVT is unique that it doesn't reduce the thing it taxes because land is constant. This may be technically true but the important thing is productive use of land. And that is as susceptible to tax influences as windows are.

This is one of those areas where money can solve your problem. It's a lot harder to rebuild if you're not making good money. Especially for those who are on the hook for alimony & child support.

This sounds like denying the existence of price fixing altogether. Sure, buyers can try to negotiate against a price fixing scheme but it won't work. The price is fixed. The software isn't really doing anything. It's simpl

I'll never understand these sort of objections to convenience in favor of density. This is awesome and I can see it being a utility similar to water pipes or electricity going to a house for the same reason we all have mailboxes. Del

Autonomous flight would be the game changer. The problem with small planes is that you're splitting the pilot & FO salaries across fewer people. If you're not doing that then 20 person flights become a lot more economical.

Spain also has the lowest fertility rate in Europe at 1.28. Not sure how much apartment living is cause or effect on that but it's a grim number. Every generation is only 60% the size of the one that came before it.
