The high level Win32 API does this to be helpful because a trailing space is usually not what the user wants. You can argue it's stupid if you want, but the OS supports files that end with dots and spaces just fine if you call the righ

Since you're (seemingly) already familiar with Arduino, just use that as your framework. You can program the ESP32 in Arduino and access any library you're familiar with as well as handle Wifi. You can buy an RGB matrix on Adafrui

Plus the 99 cents for flash chip. Plus the 99 cents for the PCB. Plus the 99 cents for misc parts like regulator and caps. Plus the $4 for the wifi module.

I don't know what gave you that idea? I'm fine with using the activity comparison to declare a winner. But valkey was created a few weeks ago, obviously it's going to have a burst of activity. However most forks die off rathe

Those numbers mean nothing because obviously a fork in its inception will have a burst of activity. Half of those changes are probably just renaming redis => valkey, too. Let's check the numbers in 6 months or a year for a truly mea

Come on, this is the kind of project that could be done by an intern in a day or two. Not much of a waste and it's nice to be able to access models without login or history.

The WIN32 API is somewhat ugly. I hate how all types are capitalized and their short abbreviations in arguments are sometimes weird. I hate how they have their own version of lots of standard C types that you have to be careful about (they

Google is hopeless at doing things offline. You can't even search for photos by their filename in the Android Google Photos app without enabling "backup to the cloud" first.

I think you're being uncharitable. What Kaze does is very different type of optimization and I don't see how it negates (or even relates to) MattKC's analysis of the -O situation? Nintendo did indeed deliberately NOT pass the

JS in PDF might be a mis-feature, but any security lapse is indeed a bug in the implementation (made doubly worse by firefox running the JS in a web context). Yes, removing JS support would get rid of potential security exploits. It doesn&#

Can't comment on Windows or iOS, but the Android browser is neat! Good: - I like that you can pin websites for easy access, the grid is visible when the address bar is focused or when you open a new tab. Similar to Firefox but more int

I wonder why Phoronix enabled such levels of protection? All I can think of is that their forum is pretty toxic. But surely nobody would DDoS phoronix.com just because they were insulted for liking Wayland or, god forbid, Windows.
