While I agree, decentralized video shouldn't be considered any more then it actually is; a tool for serving videos with lower bandwidth costs.

It is a viable method, you just won't get many customers. For a smaller userbase, it is entirely feasible and profitable to do stuff like this based on subscriptions. Ad revenue can be higher, but is volatile and harder to implement. P

Yea, $850 franchise tax minimum. I personally think it's a bit excess even by Californian standards. Also, you'd need to get an office in Delaware to not mandate a foreign registration in California which still involves the taxes.

It's definitely an under-saturated market. Some people fancy regular sized Pixels (of any gen). A family member of mine prefers small phone sizes, uses a Pixel on a regular basis, and it works for them. I expect the same for the newer

Welcome to HN! And on that note, with some Android ROMs and even with some modifications, privacy issues on Android devices are slightly alleviated. But yeah, Apple is natively better for privacy.
