I don't think the formula makes sense with "A" you have to include the Wikipedia link to. The point of "the uber for y" or "the apple of x" is that it plays off of our deep seated awareness of uber and App

If this is the type of error you want to minimize, NATO phonetic alphabet [1] is worth learning. (Amateur radio is a good place to practice, though I'll admit I'm a bit rusty.) I actually kinda enjoy these minor discrepancies, bec

Yeah, makes sense. Bookmark == pointer to bytes, Screenshot == bytes. If the bytes could save someone's life (or N doctor visits, or even 5 saved minutes), quite worthwhile to keep a copy. Same principal as pinboard.in's archiving

I think a lot of publishers seem uninterested in untargeted advertisements though, so the distinction -- while existing in principal -- is not very relevant in practice. Certainly the untargeted adds I see (or even those I can tell are by v

This was kinda my philosophy until other devs started working on my project. I couldn't bring myself to tell them "no ES6" in PRs, but wasn't actually a review without knowing it. At some point I took the plunge. It is a

Argument against considering them the same level of abstraction: HTTP and especially TCP stand on their own to do useful things (e.g. gRPC + every video game ever), so it's not necessary to understand HTML to understand and use HTTP. H

It seems like sometimes this is just how iteratively automating things works, especially on an internal-facing tool. You have some process that starts out being "deploy this app with this java code". You deploy once and while, so
