You cannot buy a handgun in a state you do not reside, and a gun must be legal in both the state where the transaction is occurring, and the home state of the buyer. (that's federal law) Although it's illegal to "knowingly&qu

I've done the same in NY. I have a really great deal going on with him -- I would email him before I would make any online purchase and ask if he could beat it. If so, I'd pick it up from him. If not, he'd tell me to order

Thanks for opening my eyes. I'm renouncing my religion tomorrow. You should write a book! You are very convincing. Let's not use HN as a place to destroy religion -- there's plenty of other venues for that.

Heroku has open-sourced the product they use to upload WAL files to S3. Can confirm (not with S3, but with Swift) that it works fantastically: https://github.com/wal-e/wal-e

The original article is saying "The skier can travel 120 miles in one hour because he is going 120mph". The parent is saying that the skier can't travel 120 miles in one hour, because even if you could find a mountain that l

Yeah, no one ever uses names that are ungoogleable, until they are. What would "ruby" have shown up just a couple years ago? or "Apple?"

A "hunting license" gives you the ability to take an animal, not to own a firearm. And in most states (outside of the most infringing states -- my home state of NY is a great example), a Conceal Carry license is "how" you can carry a handgu
