Just as an aside, does anyone else click on ads for great services like mibbit just to give some revenue to the site?

I know both sides. I have a friend who is one of the greatest proponents of alternative medicine treatments of autism. Both my children have been vaccinated. http://www.babble.com.au/2009/02/24/bad-science-how-the-auti... I shouldn't have

Seriously, while I feel for you, get the facts. There is no evidence linking autism to vaccines. While dosing frequency has increased, dosing volume has decreased. Not only that, even if you are right, a lot more kids would die from the vac

For this we thought about recording user input, then replaying it on the new build as a pre-deploy step and looking for errors in logs etc. Obviously this would only work without major ui/schema changes. Have you tried anything like this?

While I usually dislike rants, I played with google squared and agree. It's pretty much useless for everything I tried. Does anyone have any searches it's good for? I'd love to be proven wrong about it's utility.

It's not about IQ. It's about selling IQ. I know a guy pulling 500k who is at best a 100 on the IQ scale, but he creates instant rapport with a twinkle of his eye.

Agreed, it's just part of the cycle. I just feel for those startups who are now superseded, that's all. I know how hard they are working, and there must be a lot of frantic board meetings happening right now.

Ask them what budget they have to work with, and provide two options - one within their budget and one that goes over. Understanding their budget and who pays is important. Provide a value proposition.

I think it would be a worthwhile project to get some of the top emacs/vim users doing a set task (e.g. spit out a rails app, or build a small java app) and compare them to the gold standard ide in a guided screencast setting. It would be en
