> working as slowly or lazily as possible without getting fired makes most jobs more difficult to bear I'm really curious about this and would love to hear more. I've long struggled to find a sustainable pace.

That’s a very depressing take. Are there any scenarios where it’s not true? What if I’m enjoying what I’m doing? What if I like my coworkers?

I either sit in half lotus, or 90-90 style stretch. When I started I had a hard time sitting like that for more than 10 minutes, so I had to change position frequently, but it's better now. I'd switch from sitting to standing ( di

I've been sitting on the floor, resting my laptop on the coffee table. When I get tired, I put the coffee table on the dining room table and stand. I used to fatigue quite quickly and go back to regular desk, but after 3 weeks of this,

Never occurred to me that torpedoes can be battery powered. Any idea what kind of cells they have? I got confused by the dual units here: > 65cm torpedoes have enough fuel to travel in excess of 100 kilometers at 50 knots for just over a

It’s such a great format; very educational. It never devolves into ad hominem attacks either. It’s fun to listen to experts debate.

IQ2 had a debate on nuclear power. One of the arguments against expansion was that nuclear reactor design is basically bespoke for every installation and that the promise of rapid, cheap deployment has not been realized in many years (decad

Macbook appears to be pretty intelligent about it's battery. My 2016 is still over 90% healthy and regularly gets over 5 hours on a single charge (load dependent of course). It's pretty much on 24/7.

Love your app. It’s the best diagraming tool I’ve found. It’s just so natural and quick!! Well done.

Are we not able to have polite discourse anymore? Sheesh.. Container orchestration is not the first silver bullet that has grown a large following that makes money off of it, whether reasonable or not. I do have a question though. Say you h

Nicely done. I've been meaning to dive into k8s clusters (with either k3s or kind) -- what is the advantage of building a Pi cluster over something like multiple vagrant nodes? Not criticizing at all, just trying to understand.

Borg, Kubernetes, et al? Abstracting complexity away is great, but at a certain level you just can't hide it, I think. Would love to be proven wrong, though.

What is “async” communication that everyone is taking about? Isn’t that email/irc/slack that we had since forever? How are things going to change all of a sudden?

Overall, I think it's a pretty fair assessment. Emacs is dense, obscure and what is these days called "opinionated". You gotta remember though, that Emacs is from mid 70s. There's a lot of legacy there, but also a lot of

Do you have an example of how you structured your cards for such a question? It seems impossibly hard to remember an algorithm without committing it to muscle memory so to speak.
