I'd argue that this is an exception not the rule. Normally he's very practical and pragmatic. I aspire to be like him.

This explains why YouTube channels like Andrew Camarata's [0] have a million plus subs. Something about watching people work is fascinating. [0] https://www.youtube.com/c/AndrewCamarata/featured

Good call instantpot was a game changer for me. One thing that might elevate your dishes is seasoning and fresh herbs. I didn’t realize I was under salting my stuff, and a bunch of fresh parsley or mint really makes a huge difference.

But there's more than just revision control, no? Compilers, linters, intellisence. I don't know what is to notes as compilers are to code, but certainly note taking could stand to use more tooling.

Brilliant advice. Maintaining a schedule is a meta project itself though. I find that the energy there ebbs and flows as well. Some days I cannot create a schedule; much less follow it. Do you have a similar issue? If so, how do you deal wi

That's true, I"ve certainly ran into this before. The other option that didn't occur to me at the time, is open source. You'd have someone to review your PRs and potentially set the direction..

I was going to link this as well. The app in the link is nice, but Anki is way more conducive for this task.

Typical advice is to build something that scratches your itch. Once you do that, you can use it as a portfolio piece to find a remote job. Im not aware of any sites like that.

Are you familiar with open courseware platforms like coursera [0] or EdX [1]? The lectures are prerecorded, but there are weekly assignments, discussion forums to current students, etc. While the access to courses is free you can pay to get

Same. Some of the the questions/solutions are very aesthetically pleasing. While I find it pretty satisfying, I still have a million things I'd rather be doing.

Don't think Anki has a fully baked implementation of incremental reading. Polar [0] is an interesting implementation of a similar concept: read and annotate and turn your highlights into Anki flashcards automatically. [0]: https:/
