I partially agree, if you’ve moved your hands away it can be difficult to “relocalize”. It’s not that big a deal though, I find. My main problem now is that I want Apple level low travel (and low profile) but also split. Guess I’ll wind up

They say there are two hard problems in computer science: cache invalidation, naming, and off-by-one errors.

“AI research” is largely concerned with automation, not sentience or AGI. This is clearly abuse of terminology, even “machine learning” is somewhat misleading in my opinion. It’s mostly just pattern recognition of increasing elaboration, an

Your entire argument falls over flat if you look at excess mortality. Aggregate statistics are hard to misunderstand. Sweden did worse at first, but is in general unremarkable.

People write exploding time complexity code in bad places all the time. I absolutely disagree with this sentiment that it won’t matter.

After numba’ing several nontrivial pieces of numpy code in my life, you might as well just rewrite it in nopython mode for Cython unless it’s very trivial stuff. Numba errors and partial coverage of numpy is a huge time sink in my experienc

As an almost exclusive Python programmer, I’ve often looked at Ruby’s block syntax with jealous eyes. It would be so nice. But I wonder if that’s maybe the exact thing that I also like about Python: the language is pretty damn simple in its

To be fair, comments _must_ be moderated or they turn into a cesspool in short order. A like-dislike count does not have that problem, though. And YouTube isn't removing the comments (yet).

I’m not trying to be rude here but going from PC gaming to consoles because you dislike DRM is like buying a sports car because you think trucks pollute too much.

Tangential but what do you mean with better CI? GitHub doesn’t do any CI at all as far as I know, and Travis turned commercial only. Did I miss something?

It’s a hard sell to say you feel like your heritage was cause for grief when you come from a superpower, and the richest country in the world. You may individually be not well off, but we’re talking about group properties.
