From what I've seen, reddit's policy is to quarantine a subreddit and warn the admin to moderate more heavily "or be banned". My guess is they did this to ensure reddit wouldn't ban the subreddit and wipe out its wh

You haven't answered why. You simply stated it's unacceptable and america chose to go a different path. They have no obligation to share your view on any of these things. Stating "sexism is bad" is indeed not moral relat

I think the parent is right in that free speech is not an absolute and has geographical restrictions. Most western nations restrict free speech mostly by broadly defining some forms of speech as hate. Saying hate speech laws and free speech

I second atkins, it's a classic and covers base to more advanced subjects very well imo. I feel it takes time to read, but it's the one book that provided the most value in my understanding of chemistry.

My main point wasn't avout the awareness of the risks (although I have not seen muvh coverage on it). I understand the risk-analysis, but the people protesting/disagreeing with the lockdown also did the same thing. There is a shar

Classes usually have a more complex state than the state passed to utility functions, which is a reason I'd be incline to use e.g. a struct as a state vs a C++ class. Makes it harder to write bad code.
