I have a number of friends who moved to Europe while working remotely for US tech companies. I'd be interested to know how common this really is, but it could be a contributor to inflated housing prices there as well.

I once applied to a job that had recommended experience in applied sitting algorithms. I asked the recruiter WTF sitting algorithms are and she told me it was just a test, and it's surprising how many candidates will say that they&#x27

Is it so hard to ask the user to put instructions at the beginning? Claude 100K asks users to put instructions at the end. Or you just use a quick model to check if there area instructions at the end and bring it to the beginning.

People don't swim in the Amazon river, there's lots of other things in there that will kill you! Edit: to clarify, in the areas of the Amazon that I've been to (maybe the more remote areas), nobody swam. Most of the locals di

This just means they turned Bing browsing back on. It was disabled some months ago because it was discovered that it could bypass paywalls on articles, and they they've brought it back (presumably a nerfed version).

Lots of bad information in this thread, let me help clear it up: - Gemini is based in New York and is regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services. Gemini was granted a charter to operate a trust under the NYSDFS. - Gemi

To be fair, I made heavy use of GPT-4 helping me figure out Flutter, that makes a huge difference in using a language for the first time.

I tried Flutter for the first time for a hackathon and was able to make a pretty nice looking app with it, complete with a custom audio player UI talking to an API, in around 24 hours. Never tried Dart before that. My code wasn't pret

I do heavy dev work on an 8GB M1 Mac. Like, dozens of Chrome tabs, multiple IDEs, Notion, Slack, etc. Works great. MacOS does a good job at compressing memory and using swap. The SSD on an M1 Mac is basically DDR2 speed, so even if you&#x27

Fireblocks is the preferred custody solution for institutions today. It's 'non-custodial' and your assets can be recovered at any time. The MPC cryptography that enables Fireblocks to exist was only invented in 2019.

I would love if helpdesks moved to ChatGPT. Phone support these days is based off of a rigid script that is around as helpful as a 2000s chatbot. For example, the other day I was talking to AT&T support, and the lady asked me what ver
