Author here. I do not think at all that individual self-interest is our only motor. I'm saying we underestimate the extent to which it motivates us. I should probably clarify that. My view of China is informed by my months-long stay th

I would say that for most laypersons, VPN is used for two things: accessing your remote work resources and accessing content banned in your country. As was patiently explained to me, Mycoria relies to quite an extent on the network effect:

So 2 use-cases within grasp: Firms could replace their VPNs for remote work with mycoria and have better security and control. I could also set this up for my home network and access my (for example) NAS securely. For the use-case "I w

Isn't it a bit different? A VPN is used to create (the illusion of) privacy when accessing anything on the internet. But I can't access anything that's not connected to mycoria with it, can I? If I were to access something li

Great technical achievement. What is, for you, the sweet spot between VPN and TOR? What's the tradeoff there?

Looks interesting. What I understood: it is basically overlaying privacy and net neutrality on the internet. I am therefore restricted to communicating with other users of mycoria and can't access "the whole Internet" via myc

All that has been said under this thread, including the sibling comment to this one, could be true at the same time. I see dissenting stances where the opinions are not.

The market isn't that good at detecting and rewarding genius work in the short term. Herman Melville, Edgar Allan Poe as well as Oscar Wilde died poor.

It doesn't work like that. In a single payer system, the government is mandated to provide you with health care, since you are paying for it with your taxes (or would be if your income was high enough), no exceptions. Typical tools of

True. And I don't think I ever claimed that never using rebase is a guarantee for anything. I rather wanted to point out the following: Using a commit strategy based on git rebase is neither right nor wrong. It is not even best practic
