Europe survived 2 devastating home wars in the last 100 years, a lot of it was under Soviet occupation, and has smaller natural deposits. The US economy is being propped-up by cheap credit and blitzscaling of tech, and the money is running

This comment shows why the damage done by Trump will be so hard to reverse, no matter who's in charge next. When Trump talks about taking Greenland, the answer should be "no, moron, it's effectively a part of NATO", and

What information did you expect? Don't apply for jobs that you'd find objectionable if it wasn't your paycheck. If you find yourself forced to do something objectionable, refuse, do a terrible job, and look for something else

Then get more? Sounds like a fantastic way to waste military resources. I have no clue why this mythical US military might and efficiency idea persists after so many failed interventions.

I have no idea where the author is coming from with this. If I wanted to mainly tell others what to code, do code reviews, or "build", I'd be in a different role.

Not everybody's for sale, even more so in actually developed countries with functioning public services. Buying votes is illegal even in the US, in theory.

The 1 trillion budget says the US can flex its muscles, but once sovereignty is at stake, the US army becomes an ineffective money sinkhole only good at committing war crimes, as the last century has clearly shown.

What are you talking about. There's little real opposition to the EU-Mercosur trade deal. It'll be ratified this year. The EU is the largest source of foreign direct investment in Mercosur.

There's so many of these nonsense views of the EU here. Not being vocal about a mental case president doesn't mean politicians are "puckering their assholes". The EU is not affraid to moderate and fine tech companies. Th

Sounds like the optimism rhetoric of Steven Pinker. I suggest you read up on the numerous criticisms of his work. Most of the optimism is based on a ridiculously low global poverty line conjured out of thin air, and other nonsense like GDP.
