This is tough since I have changed careers three times, but i have found the remote work I do to be highly effective for me. It’s my first software job and I’ve been good about managing my time and delivering successfully. I don’t get micro

So at this point, are we facing a pretty bleak future, regardless of what countries do? I’m already scared about an upcoming water crisis during my lifetime. I can’t imagine what the next generation is going to suffer through.

"Enders Game" for me, I think. By Orson Scott Card. I was in my first couple years of military service when I read that. I can't really say how it changed my outlook on life, other than the fact that I liked how realistic the

I can’t help but wonder how I would do in these interviews. Honestly, I think I’m a horrible programmer. My current gig is developing an api for a survey app, as well as an environmental sensor data app (which me and my partner built from t

But isn’t 5g really short range? Isn’t there a big problem with the frequency being blocked even by human skin?

I still use my 6s. I really want to upgrade, but the prices are just bonkers. I haven’t replaced the battery yet. I probably will this year. I’d rather just replace my battery for 60 bucks than buy a new phone for 800...

Well, I’m not sure. I used to do a lot of drawing when I was a kid, but now I do more programming and teaching. I think the exercise is really just to distract me from thinking “go to sleep go to sleep” over and over lol.

I’ve started doing that whenever I have trouble sleeping. I start with a random world, set it to orbit, then make another world, have it orbit the first world, then add a third. I let them all orbit eachother.

I never had a problem using cash to pay for things, including taxis. The biggest problem with taxis is that most drivers don't carry much change, so I always make sure i have a hundred RMB in small bills on me, just in case my phone is

Others have already touched upon a few other points in your argument, but quite frankly, intelligence is not a good metric. And neither is a creature's ability to measure morality. Do we know how a pig measures morals? Do we know how t

I totally get the '0.1%' thought here, the idea being that the majority of this scientific progress will only benefit those how can afford it. Personally, I'd be hoping for more universal advancement. I hope society gets to t

I recently opened a Hong Kong company. During the process I’ve seen how easy it can be to change your company name, but there is a company registry number tied to it. I don’t know if that changes too though.

Salaries have been stagnating because companies refuse to raise the salaries, along with ever increasing inflation. Your 100k job was worth less than a dollar back in 1980, due to inflation. Programmers should be making closer to 200-300k p
