It’s interesting how much SoftBank has interest in. A friend of mine’s company was given funding by Softbank, but those funds were delayed due to Saudi interests being held up by blocked wire transfers at the time. A _lot_ of Softbanks’ mon

I feel like we never recovered from the 2008 depression. And I feel like we are due for another big one. That said, these are cycles as always.

So this might be an exception to the rule, AFAIK. I know in the US, it's required by law that all new cars require some sort of backup camera. I think this is acceptable if it's kept to a small screen, or integrated into the rear-

So... it sounds more and more like Uber is going to need to provide drivers insurance, etc... which means they will probably need higher requirements from their drivers at some point. Maybe even licensing and... wait, is Uber slowly becomin

Yeah, I could deal with the touch bar if they had a physical button for the ESC key.

I honestly don't even see the need for screens in a car. I'm perfectly happy with having physical buttons/dials to control my music and AC. I don't need to know anything else other than what's on the dashboard. (spe

that's good to hear. I've been wanting to upgrade from my 2013 model, but the keyboards are so shit that I decided to wait. Might still not buy one if they still have a Touch Bar though (and omg, touch bar was automatically made u

Sure, let's try to control the weather by nuking our clouds. That won't have any effect on our atmosphere, oceans, and water. Nope. None at all. Also, we're not getting warmer. Climate change isn't real. The fires in the

I feel blessed that I grew up during the late 80s and 90s. I got to see and play games in arcades, and I owned my first computer in 2001. So I played games mostly at friends houses. Nobody else will go through what we did, though I suspect

I remember asking my parents about this in the late eighties and early nineties. We went to the landfills several times a year, and I saw so much plastic that I asked why plastic was being dumped here if we were supposed to be recycling. I

God, Javascript can be such a train-wreck though. Frameworks break all the time when people want something updated. For example, updating a website from an old version of Middleman to the latest, while also using Webpack 3 (but can't u

Geez man. This isn’t good. Not only do you have a code base that kept having to go back and forth for corrections; you also have another country that can do whatever it wants with that code. Steal it, sell it to the highest bidder, etc.

I haven't used a car in years, but I do use taxies or DiDi, or Uber, depending on which country I'm in. With Uber or Didi especially, you get picked up in cars that have these touchscreens. I've never seen a driver use them f
