Short term: keep US responsible for their actions, otherwise this will just continue. Long term: a broader separation of US and EU interest, EU does not benefit from many of the US imperial policies, it actually loses on many of them.

EU should put sanctions on top US leadership and many of the large US based corporations, especially in businesses like banking, media and technology.

Agree, but doesn’t that mean that heuristic based AV is useless, only creates annoyance by flagging legit software , when a list of known malware would be good enough if response time to add to that list is high enough.

Protected folders has existed for a while, in practical terms is almost useless, because you can’t create groups of protected folders for different type of applications, thus protecting too many folders will have consequence of you need to

How would you handle versioning in a monorepo? Just a new directory for major versions? If we have multiple teams you can’t really refactor other teams code and sometimes you need to do breaking changes thus I imagine that some versioning

That is even more horrible what I thought. Automatically generate schemas 1:1 and then expose it. Let me guess tons of information leakage, ddos attacks and queries not hitting indexes. This is absolutely the worst idea I come across in web

PHP can't autoload functions, only classes. Thus if you wrap it in a static function inside a class you can autoload the the function by calling the class, Pipe::new(...), without doing a require "file.php".

You can also use a VIEW. How does GraphQL make sure to respect table indexes? If not you get a super slow query.

GraphQL is a consequence of the SPA design, a bad design leads to a worse fix. The drawback is that the frontend now has its own schema, often it starts as a naive direct mapping of the real schema. Thus any changes in the real schema also

2. Hard to believe that is true in the general case. Typical scenario for SPA is to use some sort of REST API, these API:s are usually designed for general usage, not specific usage, i.e. designed to be reused between components and views t

You can still do that with SSR solution, the mocking just moves one step down, instead of mocking a JSON request you mock a class or an interface.

Yes, you have to ask yourself why everyone is using V8 as their JavaScript runtime and not Mozilla’s equivalent or why every alternative browser is using Chrome as a foundation. Or XUL wasn’t packaged as cross platform GUI framework. And th

Generally yes, but there has been at least some improvements regarding this with preloading shipped with PHP 7.4 and with the inheritance cache added to PHP 8.1, both synergize well with framework heavy code.

PHP was made for the web and yes it was never formally designed, more of an ad hoc evolution, thus string functions differ from array functions and so on. Today however in respect to the many improvements, not only for the language itself b
