Most listeners I’ve seen assume a single FD. It’s IPv6 snobbery to say “you should have written your code to expect IPv6 upgrade 20 years ago”

Dual stack is a hack and binding to an interface like localhost or a single interface does not support dual stack . So your L6 code has to be modified and re tested to support L3 changes . Even if ipv6 was just as simple , the cost of rebui

Are any of us better? We’re all sellouts here, making money off sleazy apps and products. I’m sorry but comparing Google to Stalin or Hitler makes me completely dismiss your opinion. It’s a middle school point of view.

What are you implying ? That he’s a hypocrite ? So he’s not allowed to have opinions ? If anything he’s in a better position than a random person . And Google is a massive enterprise, with hundreds of divisions. I imagine Pike and his peers

In some ways yes. Many “engineers” obsess over “idioms” and other trends to the detriment of performance, correctness and usability. So this analogy is a bit too charitable.

It’s a nice theory but still doesn’t explain why the laws aren’t being enforced. Presumably these rich, powerful and paranoid also control the AG’s and judges. Why aren’t they locking these people up?
