I suppose it depends on where you study. If you're at a school (a school based hospital), you pay to go. You might get a stipend, but I know people from NYU who have had to pay to attend residency. I don't know the most about th

It's a way of forcing ungraduated docs to pay to work. No joke - you have to pay to attend residency and work. And this isn't covered by student debt/government assistance programs. I know of several doctors who are in _s

I'm full VFIO on an RTX 2060 max q and it's actually great. Error 43 is annoying but there are already workarounds - namely, certain VFIO settings (`vendor_id` in hyperv, and -laptop only- adding an acpitable to emulate battery).

This is really the 12th generation of Apple's own chips, though - and the third of this particular design, if I recall correctly.

This is insane perf/watt. x86 backwards compatibility may have gotten us to where we are, but it's certainly holding it back. Arm is looking great, and maybe it's time for x86 to die.

Airbnb own and operate HotelTonight, which is a foray into hotels. It can (and I think certainly will) get there. Anecdotally, HotelTonight is my go-to for booking any hotel, any time.

Where's dmesg, kvm, namespaces, cgroups, and package management built in? What about inodes and cpu spikes even running node on osx? Let alone doing that inside a container. Nah. OSX is long gone for "better dev experience"

You're gonna need your MRIs on the network cuz they transmit the actual PHI via PACS. No way the operator is copying a 5GB+ dicom file to your record in your EMR manually. You NEED to have the patient name added via modality worklists

Agreed. Libinput on an XPS, having no issues over here. I actually prefer it to my past MBP's from 10 years. Tested on the 2015, 2017, and 2019 models and libinput/XPS is much nicer to use.

On the fundamentals you agree with me: the goalposts shifted from telemtry to logging. IMO they're different things. One deals with call graphs, timings, and associated baggage. The other is logs. Should we hold off on the spec for ano

The "how it works" video shows a geological repository dug into a cement cave in the ground. Waste is stored there to minimize exposure. They at least didn't try to hide it and in fact did mention it.
