Yeah, part of me was thinking that too. Use container volumes. Use dockerfiles. And don't all containers support lxc-attach (as opposed to SSH?). I didn't want to be negative -- it'd be great to be able to have an environment

This is really cool. It'd be great to be able to piece together development environments from dockerfiles even quicker than you can now. One of the great things about docker is that once you've played about for an hour or so you&#

Marionette is a solid framework. It has everything you need to build fast, and clean: regions (which were a great step in the right direction and will be improved in V2), composite/collection views, layouts... the basics are there for

I think that he should at least understand and know the CoffeeScript syntax to argue that it isn't great. If you don't know C, learnt half of it, then moaned that it didn't compile you'd look like a bit of a fool. In thi

Comparatively, bringing fiber to NYC won't be so expensive (considering the results). At this point, it's not about comparatively. Optimising $240m a year is so fucking good when it's a short switch. Low hanging fruit. How

Here's a dockerfile setup I wrote for Postgres which uses a 'data container' for the entire Postgres database: https://github.com/codelittinc/dockerfiles/tree/master/postg... The gist of i

This is a copy and improvement of the article I wrote last month, even down to the breakdown of "What's that command doing?" with `docker run -t -i ubuntu /bin/bash`. Glad it was useful enough to spur an improved ar

Out of all of these, I've always found the HMAC hashed request in OAuth 1 to make the most sense from a basic security point of view. The only concern being token refreshes.

I really don't think that it's fair to compare Tesla with Coupons.com. Tesla has net assets of $2.4 billion, with IP that's worth a considerable amount. This is evidence to show that it may be worth investing. What does coupo

Not really – the Kentucky police chief is paid in bitcoin: http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57614544-93/kentucky-police... People don't have to be working in the tech scene to be interested.

I'm with bretthopper. The 7 minute workout is a good start for us developers who probably get little to no exercise. That said, I don't think it's designed to actively make you lose weight, bulk up, or increase your cardiovas

iOS 1 was an inevitable jump from Palm OS and the early days of touch screen. The tech had been in demos before, but there was such a lack of UX work beforehand that it never took off. That, and capacitive screens/advancing tech.

Not that I know of. I haven't tried exposing an SSH server from containers to Vagrant (and Vagrant to your machine), but that could be a possibility. As far as I know, you can only SSH into containers by running `docker attach {$id

Thanks for the feedback, glad it helped! Took a fair while to write and edit, but it was well worth it. Docker is a great tool, and the more I use it the more I love it. Would definitely recommend a try if you have some spare tome soon.

Don't have much to give right now, but it's a great cause. Such a shame to see anyone like this, especially someone as kind and active in the community (judging by people who know him). Wishing him all the best.

Interesting. Would one gamble with arbitrage knowing that they might not get their money, though? Realistically, Mt. Gox have said they won't allow withdrawals indefinitely. They know that fixing this issue — known since 2011 — is goin

I agree with you, and this only highlights that bitcoin needs some level of regulation before it can be used commonly. If bitcoin is going to become commonplace, it needs a lot of support, more infrastructure, and some regulation.

JP Morgan launders hundreds of millions worth of USD. It happens with every currency; using it in an argument is a fallacy.
