For Blender it wasn't just the UI, it was great leadership, direction, focus and decision making that got it where it is today. This culture started attracting more talent in both users and new developers.

I'd love to hear more about this. What was the other one you found? I wrote Tiny Player for iOS and another one for Mac and as more of an "album listener" myself I always struggled to keep the shuffle functionality up to othe

Other car manufacturers should immediately book all ad spots and advertise their ad free cars right there. Ideally they will play right after test drive ends at the car dealership.

Nice 90s vibe. Web target is cool. The invaders demo though... I have to say AD+W is not a good set of key bindings for that game.

STB image didn't get used in the end because some other library was faster but I think the author missed the possibility of #defining their own allocator using STBI_MALLOC (which could just return a pointer to an existing memory block)

Sure, I like the C++ interop and agree that it's important. My point was that 99% of Xcode/Swift app developers will never touch it or even know it's a thing.

For regular Swift developers who make iOS apps, yes it's niche. C++ interop is probably more important for Apple itself. Swift compiler speed and error reporting are abysmal and improving them would have a much bigger impact. So far it

If Google is paying Apple effectively not to make its own search engine, I would not be surprised if Apple and/or Microsoft were paying Adobe not to port CC to Linux.

I just tried it recently, worked well enough, including support for std vector, string etc. You can loop over std vector items using a standard Swift loop, for example. It´s clear Apple needs and uses this internally too.
