I feel like people got soft as soon as they saw Apple on the BSA. A few people I work with were dead-set against SOPA and all it stood for - suddenly, after seeing Apple here, had a completely different, sympathetic opinion towards it. Are

I don't give a crap if Flash dies, but why lie? Seriously. Just say, Flash is a piece of shit and we don't want it . At least, you could structure an argument around that. Thoughts on Flash does hit a few worthy points, but many of them

Others here have said that SOPA, or other forms of it won't go away even if the current bid to censor does not succeed. Lobbyists spend so much time and money pushing these bills down our collective throat. They do this under the impression

If this goes through, it is doubtful that the US will remain the tech startup mecha for very long afterwards. Just about any revolutionary technology could find itself in hot water with this bill. A sad day if this gets passed.

Having trouble hiring talented people seems to be a pretty good problem to have. The logic is flawed - from a guy who stuck his middle-finger at various large companies while working at the helm of Napster. I think the new economy (eventual

As someone who suffers from ADHD-PI, I can't help but wonder a possible co-relation here. Before my occasional marijuana use a few years ago, I wasn't aware of my concentration issues. Like many others, I thought I was just lazy or unmotiva

Love it. One thought - have standardized CSS listed first. I type in "background" and get "-webkit-background-composite" as a first result. I'd probably want to see just "background" come up, followed by declarations less popular. Regardles

This. Attackers just point their attention to the greatest targets. When one target disappears, the attackers don't disappear - they just find a different approach. The recent iOS security breach proved this, in my opinion, pretty concretel

I agree that both open and closed can co-exist, but if media drives media (ie, advertising agencies chasing the app-for-no-reason bandwagon) how can we be sure that we don't have a monoculture in software development in the future? I don't

Very few people will probably agree with you, probably even try and bury your comment, even though you're absolutely right. No one wants to admit that their fav. ecosystem is basically mob-mentality dressed in a sleek, comfortable, suit - b

Here's the thing. If you think of Flash as it is today, you can find how it will find eventually decline. Again, not disagreeing with that. Flash can die as a browser plugin and live on - not as a plugin, but as a programming language (AS3)
