Apple is treading the same path to the same type of market dominance. Apple isn't the underdog any more. Time to take a second look.

Windows users hate iTunes because they think it's crap. Apple users hate Flash because they think it's crap. Neither camp thinks their wrong. Go figure.

Trouble is, you're talking about you . Who may be perfectly logical and make sound decisions in the software you use based on the quantified experience. I've used enough Adobe software to confidently say that all of their software is n

I'm having a hard time thinking of a software company (who works for profit) that hasn't put annoying marketing ahead of good software or UX. Trendy hate tends to be very specific.

I have no problem with Apple excluding Flash from iPhone. Choice is great. However, I don't care for the mob mentality that is perpetuating false information in the name of "freedom of web".

I second that. I've not used the Adobe IDE for a few years. lurch_mojoff, please don't claim your personal experience as standard practice. Try a search on Google, or read a few blogs about Flash development.

I agree with what you're saying. However, I am alright with a website being 100% reliant on Flash just as I am alright with a website being 100% reliant on video. The key issue here is openness, not platform.

That's great rhetoric and philosophy, yet it's incredibly clear that the decision to eliminate other frameworks from compiling into iApps (the day of CS5 announcement, no less) is motivated by ignorance. Ignorance that costs developers unne
