The trackpad on my 2014 Retina isn't very good compared to my M1. The old one took a lot of force and was physical wereas the new one is using their haptic engine.

My first laptop was a thinkpad and I grew to love the nub (this was accidental, I had purchased a mouse, but found that I didn't move my fingers to use it unless I was gaming or something like that, much nicer to keep the fingers on th

As long as I move my head back a bit, I have no problem getting the scan to work. Fingerprint on the other hand is a no go if you are wearing gloves. And I live in a northen country.

Were did you get these? I have been looking for a USB-C female to lightning male connector for some time, but I don't think they exists. What you have found seems to be the closest thing.

I have an iPhone 13. When I upgrade (which will not be this year) I will get all the features in between, which means that it will be a substantial upgrade. But it will feel less than that, because I have read so many of them in between. St

I don't think so. There is a qualitative difference between youtube and what can be made for streaming, but there are also entire groups of things that are not on youtube: there are lots of video essays, but basically no TV shows over

Its an interesting concept, which will further fragment the amount of attention that each individual piece can get. If the actors are AI generated, then we are also past the point there sex and nudity can't be part of the experience. I

Here is a bunch of JSON. Output the c# classes that can deserialise it. An intern in college could do that, but it isn’t worth our time to do. For this function, write the unit tests. Now you do not have anything that you can blindly commit

Thats an extreme example to me. I don't think I have ever had a phone dinner, unless we needed to show somebody a picture or take one (and both things are rare). You can put your phone on a shelf and if somebody calls you, you can pick

Not really. Handoff doesn’t work if my starting device is not on when I begin to switch. My flow is to put my MacBook in sleep mode and then grab my phone. No handover there.

I once got an offer to buy glasses on installments - zero interests but as long as I was paying them off I would have a free insurance. If I paid the full amount I didn't get any insurance. Was totally a no brainer, and a no brainer.

Go review the iPhone announcement. The original iPhone was nothing compared to the recent models. Amazon in 1997 might allow you to buy some books, whereas the amount of stuff you can buy is much larger today. The only point I get from this

HTTP2 allows the server to push files to the browser. If you don't have tons of code, tree shaking and minification is not that important. If you depend on a couple libraries (Jquery, for example) those can be minified and just refered

Same issue for me. I need to archive a bunch of data once or twice, put the tape on a shelf in my parents home and then I don't plan to do anything with it unless my NAS self destructs. Ideally I would be able to rent a tape drive, eve

You have to go vote anyway, right? Since rich people tend to make more money per hour, that is discriminatory to them too. Honestly if there is one thing the US doesn't need it is more uninformed voters. I would love if one could requi
