Thats the part I don't get. When you are developing AI, how much code are you really running on GPUs? How bad would it be to write it for something else if you could get 10% more compute per dollar?

Hard disagree on that being a feature. It’s why I don’t want to use them.

How many use Grammerly on a Mac exclusively? My guess is that most of their accounts are students through schools and companies. But yeah, there is a risk in any business that a better competitor comes along.

Box if you are overwriting the next char, vertical bar if you are inserting. Dunno whenever you would use underline (I guess if it doesn't work with box for some reason)? Thats the standard, anyway, so if you don't follow that, yo

I am utterly flabbergasted by that attitude. I totally dig having useless old tech around (hey I brought a mechanical typewriter), but there is nothing inhumane about getting good quality photos of the people in your lives and be able to s

It’s the opinion of OpenAI that ai text detection is not possible. Do you really want to argue that you know more than they do?

You also need to take into account what isn't there: How do you think Franklin would take it that we went to every single corner of the earth and killed Smallpox dead? Like every tiny hamlet in India? In fact, let him by the grave yard

Sounds like you need a first filter, and then only do your evaluation process on a given product if it solves a major pain point and even in that case, just evaluate the best/most common product in that category and only if it clearly

It costs about 10 dollars to have a certified letter sent through an online service - that includes printing and being put into an envelope. It costs a lot less if you don't need to get it certified. So if your time is worth more than

What is better at this point? Duck duck go? Bing? I pay for Kagi and it is better, but good luck getting Joe Random to pay for search. Bing is better iff you use their AI tools, but giving high quality AI tools has got to be wildly unsustai

I would argue that .NET is better than Java, unless Java has gotten something like Linq since last I used it (which is entirely) possible. For those who do not know: .NET is cross platform, MS has official documentation on how to deploy it

We have completely lost the plot by assuming that just because there are disagreements on somethings then any choice is equally as good as any other. Go is opinionated and it is opinion is wrong. Not having exceptions (but then having them

Thats only really a problem for C/C++, which I have had the misfortune to make build systems for. The solution is not to ship complicated and bug infested build systems, it is to fix the dependency problem in the same way any other lan
