Rider shows the value of assignments in your code, on the line they are assigned when you are debugging. This has saved me time when I notice that a value I didn't even think about looking into was wrong.

I pay and I don't see an excemption for pro accounts. I am already pretty pissed at them for pushing the election widget so hard - you could click on the X, but it would come back on every new search I opened.

It also looks very much like what Google said about ads in their initial paper... Also I don't see any excemption for pro users. They must be joking if they think I want to pay for a service that delivers ads too.

Another aside: that is true for a huge range of programming languages as well as things like HTML. I believe it can automatically add \ to " in strings when those strings are marked to the IDE as HTML.

I finished digitalising my analog photos (that was only a few albums, I got a digital camera around 14 years of age) and sorted them then made both my mum (early sixties) and my grandma (mid eighties) a set on a digital photo frame (along w

This is a weird attitude. The Internet we used to know meant that you could do things with it. Certainly you should not reverse engineer so as to get access to others accounts in the first place, but that should be impossible anyway. I am a

This is interesting as others have asserted that they lost because they were still too leftists. What data would settle this?

Really? You need one type “either”, which then wraps your return type or an error as appropriate, giving you compile time guarantees. That’s not a million little classes, that is one class.

Considering the common pay for software devs thats not as high as I expect. The unscented cleaning supplies is a weird request, but it does kinda make sense and the cost should be pretty low - don't know why they removed that requireme

Golang needs monads. If by default it had a monad that propagated errors up the stack, then it would be much cleaner to work with, and should you need another behaviour you could install a different monad.

It is much more expensive to run a search query with AI. I don't think ads can pay for it.

I have used Perplexity (and AI search company) a lot and - well I don't think you understand. This is not about it being too difficult to find the information. Its that a search in Google will give you a list of places to go that are r

Do you look at the keyboard? Like I don't care where people put their fingers, or even if they use them all, but for me its not touch typing if you need to use your eyes.

It continues to boggle my mind why there would be engineers who cannot touch type - not just for speed but because your brain now has to spend part of its processing cycles trying to find the next key on the keyboard.

I upgraded my iPhone 13 pro to the 16 pro and it was overall really nice - but it was the better use of hardware, the zoom camera, etc. The CPU? Ah, never really felt a difference.

You are getting downvoted so heavily that I can barely read your comment. Unfortunately HN has a hate for AI, but any writer should expect to demonstrate right of the bat that you have something worthwhile to share. Most stuff posted online

Depends on what you want to launder. Drugs are paid for in cash, so you need to launder cash - and the best way to do that is to have a business that does some amount of cash legally. I can imagine vending machines being useful here. You ar

You should have 3 copies of your data, on 2 different mediums, at least 1 one in a different location. I strongly believe that in the same way you should have at least 2 alarm clocks, one of which is of a different type. I strongly believe
