I was talking about this the other day - to some extent it feels like React (and Tailwind) has won, because LLMs understand it so deeply due to the amount of content out there. Even if they do train on other technologies that come after, th

Cursor is a fork of VS Code so most of the UI is identical and it can use the majority of extensions. Some extensions are MS only though and they may start using this as a moat, who knows!

That's super cool! For WASM with C++, I recently created a simple example using the new-ish AudioWorklet support in Emscripten, showing how to create an AudioWorklet oscillator with parameters. It removes a lot of the boiler plate you

https://github.com/tonaljs/tonal does a bunch of theory stuff. I think there’s another JS library I’ve used too but I can’t think of the name. If he wants to generate audio, Tone.js can be a useful higher level abstrac

What a great write up of a clever technique, I don’t know much about graphics but I could follow it. I submitted to HN as I’m sure others will also enjoy it :) thanks for sharing!

Hm let me double check on this tomorrow! It works with my Sony headphones (which also cause MacOS to go into bad audio mode when you eg launch Shazam) but not sure I have tried the same with AirPods. Unless I did something else to lock it

You don’t even need it to be as complex as that, I just have an aggregate device which only has the MacBook microphone input enabled and no outputs, then you set this as your _input_ device in Sound preferences, but leave the output device

Haha I was going to say this seems inspired by Tixy - which I also forgot the name of and hunted for for a long time. Love this kind of thing, they should use it in school to show how cool maths can be (maybe they do now!)

Their announcement (see Reddit for example) says it was a “content deployment” issue which could suggest it’s the AV definitions/whatever rather than the driver itself… so even if you had gradual rollout for drivers, it might not help!
