That interview is kind of embarrassing, but I think the fact that she can't code and has committed to learning along with others is perfectly fine. The tweets comparing learning to layout an HTML website in an hour to learning complex

Two things: 1. I don't see how Bitcoin being sold on Paypal is competition to Paypal. Why wouldn't Paypal love to be a place where people sell bitcoins down the road? Bitcoin is a competitor to money, not to Paypal. 2. I've t

This seems way different than the usual "everything is going to be terrible" months out stuff we usually see. This is "the games start tomorrow and the HOTELS aren't actually finished".

Love Paper, 100% agree with you - I hate the Facebook iOS app and never want to open it again, but I'm missing the classic Apple vertical scroll view because it's just soooo good. I'm probably not adding too much to this disc

It's like Flipboard with Facebook notifications/posting as well. Read your timeline/other content (if you want, but they're totally separated which is great), get and respond to notifications, post statuses/content.

I think Facebook should change Paper's name mainly because Paper is a horrible name for this product, which is actually "Facebook without all the crap you never use". The fact that "Paper by FiftyThree" is a name al

Gut reaction review if anyone is interested - I moved FB off my home screen and moved Paper onto it. It's just Facebook with a better design and none of the features I never use. It has notifications, posting, stories, etc. It's g

I'm sure a lot of the same people who agree with this blog post are the same people who constantly trash Snapchat, which I find to be a beautiful and meaningful product, as trash. I think that may be an even more relevant message - jus

This title needs to be changed, it's unclear whether you know this wasn't actually a mistake or not but this is intentionally done by IMDB because of the famous "this one goes up to 11" line in the movie.

Upside really is, hey! Feedback! That's what HN is good for, not finding users! Truly and honestly, if you don't have a product that is perfect for the HN crowd as a niche, it's still important to get on the front page if you

True - I'm actually assuming this is a 49ers fan commenting, so I wasn't making a comment in relation to Von Miller. To be fair, Browner is being suspended an entire YEAR for something he did before he was in the NFL that is now l

Yes, the Seattle Seahawks are the only team taking PEDs in the NFL. Side note: at least 2 of those suspensions were actually for narcotic drugs not PEDS, including Brandon Browner who is now suspended, leaving them without their second best

I have a family member there, it's because he's highly unlikely to be fired (even as they fire lots of folks) and he's looking for the right position elsewhere.

They're pretty different actually. Medium posts feel like posting on Medium, Svtble feels like my blog and my voice. You can't design or monetize it, but that's not my goal when writing - it's about my words. Svtble is a

This is another problem with payments that rely on the Credit Card rail. I hate the credit card rail. The CC rail doesn't know who you are, it doesn't know anything, isn't convenient online, and charges merchants insane fees.

I believe PG indicated they're growing 10% month over month recently, maybe more. I didn't find that exact Tweet, but relevant - https://twitter.com/paulg/status/403183731449413632/photo/1

Given that Stripe is about to process payments for Twitter, I wouldn't be tremendously worried. As a side note - Braintree was around before Stripe. Remember that. It's not Apples to Apples on their size, it's about growth, a
