Bank security for online banking is in a sad state, but (kind of like credit cards) they have ENOUGH protocols in place to stop virtually all fraud. They do this by being ultra aggressive though - they just CLOSE bank accounts that have wei

This just solved a huge problem I've been struggling with. This is beautiful - I don't actually want to know the information I've been trying to access, but it will make the experience better for the user. I now realize I don

Each case is different, and I (personally) do not see a pattern emerging. In this instance, all signs point to this being the "last straw". In the case of Eich, it was the unique relationship that Mozilla has with it's commun

That's not what Vint appears to be to me. There's curation. Maybe there isn't but it appears that there is.

I agree actually. I hate it when people compare things to Snapchat like Snapchat is silly (it's not) but Twitch could be HUGE. Like huge huge huge.

Congrats to Justin and everyone involved in Twitch! As a side note: most of my friends are LoL fans, and I seriously believe professional gaming will be one of the major professional sports in the next few years, perhaps on the level of Hoc

It doesn't. Thank you for pointing that out. Mint did a lot of the work for us here to be honest, they made it really easy to get this stuff out of the way.

OHHHH that's messed up. Wow! That's a really weird thing to do, but the fact that it's popular anyway really says a lot. Still though - wow.

We initiate the transfer as well. It doesn't violate any of the banks we support's TOS. We're also not web scraping.

Agreed on the SSL bit - we ask all our businesses to use it but we didn't put it on our test site. That's embarrassing I'm putting it up now. And yes, we serve the 30 banks that constitute 60% of banking volume in the US, and

If you find this interesting you may find the work Knox is doing pretty cool - we're able to verify funds before we make payments (so there no NSFs), get and verify account numbers without asking for the user to tell us them, and verif

Dwolla isn't ideal - but it's a big and growing company that's built 100% on a foundation of "try to get people to pay with Dwolla even though it's hard just to save the 3%". Things that save that 3% and can se

I don't think this is true at all. Nothing about my experience suggests this is the case. There's a very specific stage of startup that usually has little use for Jr. Devs - growing from seed to A round requires onboarding experts
