Neither pixels nor ems are the right solution, and a side-effect of an era of low-resolution screens, what we need is real physical units, and not just for fonts, but for every UI element. I should be to say that a button is intended to b

The “relativeness” comes from time, not from us. Judging the curve today , the past looks flat and the future looks steep. In 5 years the same will be true: today will seem flat and the future will seem steep — that’s the point of OP sho

Careful when you read and modify it, since it’s not actually an open source license, you can poison yourself if later in your career you decide to write a new thing in the same space. Someone could come and argue that you are writing a der

It's interesting that this is kind of a constant .1x * 10x = 1 cycle we repeatedly go through with new platforms. We rarely realize the cost of a new development platform in the fact that we often have to start from zero with documen

Yeah absolutely — you are creating truly scarce value in that case through an external means (just like an in-game card that lets you do things in the game others can’t do, vs.- “pure collectible” that does something: I tweeted about this h

The question is whether anyone cares about the scarcity. I think the more complicated the item, the less it makes sense perhaps. The more utility in the item, the less I care about a separate ID number associated to it, I would think. For e

I can’t imagine anything closer to “selling THE product” when it comes to Linux than AWS EC2. It’s Linux as a service on different virtual hardware options. It’s directly comparable to the AWS Elastic search service, which is Elastic search

I don't think there's "right" and "wrong", but bizarre (entitled?) expectations. A natural part of Open Source is that someone may come in and make way more money off of something than you do. In fact, Amazon m
