Maybe it's a cultural thing, but those lines don't sound cute, they sound like lies. At a minimum, they're embellishments. I don't understand this need to force people to know how valuable you are. There are two ways to make people value yo

Another issue with altitude is Ebullism. It's not so much a problem for mountaineers, but more for balloonists, pilots, etc. As the boiling point of bodily fluids reaches our normal body temperature, our bodily fluids form bubbles and turn

Opportunity abounds at every point in time. Most of all, at times like this when markets are flailing after a severe and (somewhat) protracted period of chaos. Even if we were at the peak of markets (arguably the worst time to invest), ther

There's more to life than writing code 9-to-5 for someone else. Some people want the freedom to code when they want on projects they choose. They may also want the freedom to do other things like travel the world and spend time with people

It's a totally different architecture. It's adding another layer. Why isn't it conceivable that adding this overhead would reduce speed? Remember, I'm not comparing a Varnish cache to an un-cached site. I'm comparing cache vs cache. Nginx s

How can that be? If Nginx serves static files much faster, and full page caching is just a static file, how can Varnish be faster?

We pretty much do the same thing: live country-to-country, for 3-6 months at a time, buy a new MacBook each year, run a startup, etc. Budgets differ between country. Not just in the value of line items, but the line items themselves. For ex

Yes, we previously used template caching because it was built into Symfony1 (an MVC PHP framework). Symfony2 now leaves caching to the HTTP Standard, plus integrates Akamai's ESI. Symfony specifically recommends Varnish for live projects. M
