I got so tired of this problem I created my own service: http://www.ectofeed.com/ It takes a bit to set up the filters, but once you do it gets rid of all kinds of junk. I've experimented with the services that claim to be able to watch

Add an RSS feed. I doubt I would visit worthyy.com everyday to see what new site is being highlighted, but I'd definitely take a look if it showed up in my feed reader.

You ought to check out screen-scraper ( http://www.screen-scraper.com/ ). It's a commercial app, but the best I've used for this kind of thing. They also offer a freeware version.
