It's weird.. I feel slightly annoyed every time I even look at the steam store because either I've bought a game then bought it again in a bundle, or because I expect it to be in a future bundle. Now, you might as well just buy the next one

Basically you want the source to the site? I somewhat mockingly say good luck, but I would like it as well.

Nothing that outlaws so many people is ever actively dealt with, the whole world learnt that lesson from the Prohibition of the 20s.

In a country with widespread use of fake ids, this doesn't mean a lot. Once you're past 21, what do you do with the IDs? Keep them for younger friends or throw them away?

Sounds evil to deliberately allow anyone to see the 2.x source but not the 3.x which is only a continuation, not a rewrite.

There are plenty of (insert absolutely any apple product here)-killers that are loudly touted by the manufacturer, and any apple-hater that we have never heard of since. Do we whinge that there hasn't been more proof that the iphone/etc are

BT and Talktalk both have publically supported the users' rights to torrent (as it isn't really outlawed yet, this will change instantly when torrents are banned). The shaping isn't bad, other than not torrenting in the evening I can't noti

Worth noting (as the article doesn't, nor the first thoughts of many I heard) is that this is files stored on the website, which doesn't apply to torrents.

Your cable provider pays for the channels and guarantees who sees it, not so easy on the web.

Android's need isn't Apple's fear. Android's need is high market share, Apple's need is user engagement/entertainment (not market, as flash and so on 'badly' prove). Apple do perfectly well with low market share, I wish they wouldn't bother

I'm starting to feel foolish every time I look at a indie game in the steam store. Bought all four bundles, which are about a quarter of the steam games I own.

I used to hear somewhat-reasonable cynicism over this, that the drug companies could just make some minor change (add more sugar) and repatent it. Did this ever work, and does it no longer apply?

The most important thing about local tweets is that you can refine search results to your country/area. I just tried, on the website and on the iphone app, I couldn't.

I doubt that the battery password is needed to rewrite the battery firmware. I also doubt the battery processor is capable of a complex hash, as it is only designed to do basic reports that are allowed to take a second.

They said (or someone important on a Apple-related mailing list) that they were wanting people to focus on making ObjC/Cocoa apps, not flash or java, certainly not ppc or carbon. It's a slow timeline that predates Android.

Go for best CPU, best graphics, everything else can be changed later. AFAIK with CPUs go for the best you can afford and cool, cooling isn't a problem with minis.

So what if a founding father had a clearly set out view of how things should be, it's not like anyone cares what the right people think, they just take their view, and use their own ego to get it somewhere. Some of them even like to ignore

This varies. Virgin TV (UK) has true on-demand, it's streamed over their cable to their box in your living room when you request it, rather than Sky who can do things like show a three hour film at 8/9/10pm.

I hope that one of these services is on the user's side, so much that the ID isn't enough for, say, advertisers to track users over different sites. And how graceful is it for versions of IE that aren't 'recent'?

I'd set aside enough time/money to allow as many of them as possible to be wired, if they want to be. Cisco [1] do 24 ports for $157, there are cheaper non-gigabit on Amazon. http://www.telephonyware.com/telephonyware/products/cisco-sr...
