Which is a little ironic considering this quote from the article: > It’s now well known on the web that slow server response times drive users away. A slow website feels broken.

Consider butter instead of oil for pancakes. The water content of the butter boils between the pancake and the pan. The escaping water vapor pushes them apart, which helps prevent the pancake from sticking.

That’s fun! This would be a fun speedrun game. (To watch. Not to try to actually speedrun yourself. That sounds painful, emotionally as well as physically.)

Hm, challenge accepted: It uses a fan and a hose to suck up dust. You use it to get rid of dirt in your home. The dirt ends up in a bag. Now and then you must get a new bag, when the old one is full. If you have some tiny item or two that l

Good input from others about not identifying with your work, and trying to see your colleagues’ inputs as part of the process of creating something better together. I would add a few things. At work, try to contribute to a culture of not re

Counterpoint: This is a little like arguing that you should use GOTO instead of call stacks. Like a function call, with a modal you keep your place and know you will be able return to where you were. No risk of getting lost. Linking to a se

I think I misunderstood what you’re trying to do, in that case. This is a pattern for how to handle state updates, rather than a framework that happens to not have any code.

Not sure I see how. Components appear to return DOM nodes, but as far as I can see they’re not provided an existing DOM structure to inspect. So they can’t be sure how to safely reuse existing DOM, as they don’t control what the parent will

Nice, but it does not look practical considering it appears to be replacing the whole DOM with every update. However, thumbs up on the idea of UI components that aren’t implemented as a framework, but rather as a convention that different f

It’s a rather confusing demo. If that’s the intended behavior, I think you need to think of a less surprising use of it that can be understood as a demo, and perhaps even comes across as a benefit rather than a bug.
