This is more of a groovy 70’s design to my eyes. (And yeah, it also says “©1979 APPLE COMPUTER INC” in the corner)

Maggie Appleton shared some interesting ideas a few months ago[1]. I especially find the ”Branches” concept interesting, just the idea of exploring multiple paths from a starting point in parallel. 1: https://maggieappleton.com&#

Is this really something the real estate market wants though? The point of using styled and meticulously chosen images is to entice people to visit the property in person. I think it’s hard to fall for a home because you saw it through virt

What I found impressive about it was the voice, the fast real-time response to video, and the succinct responses. So apparently all of that was fake. You got me, Google.

Very true. General perception of Tesla seems to have gone down the drain in the past few years, as Elon Musk has become a more and more public and divisive figure. This stupid fight is not helping.

More specifically, if you claim to be able to “animate anyone”, why wouldn’t you demonstrate a diverse set of characters? A mix of ages, genders, skin colors, body shapes, and abilities, a well as a mix of photos and various illustration st

That’s quite astonishing. In just a few years this might even be generalized to work for characters other than conventionally attractive young women.

There are obvious scratch/pen marks on the right side of the “pig face”, so I think the simplest explanation is that the nose happened the same way.

I agree it’s disappointing that a publication like National Geographic doesn’t highlight that the photo is manipulated, even if it is a non-digital retouching job. As to how it happened, considering the image has obvious brush or pen stroke

A more elaborate version of this prank is to combine it with two more steps: unplug the mouse (or turn off Bluetooth), plus also put tape or a sticky note on the underside of the mouse, covering the sensor. Voila, they will have to troubles

I think this is a fun innovation and I might try to use it in my terminal, but for coding, the real solution should be obvious: use a proportional font.

Are you a writer or are you guessing? Craig Mazin and John August have often argued on Scriptnotes[1] that this type of structural perspective can be useful for analysis, but not when writing. For example, you can often think of a movie as

The problem with numeronyms is they don’t look like acronyms or abbreviations, so people don’t know what to make of them when they first come across them. At least if someone is speaking in regular acronyms, you can understand why you can’t
