Yes if you don't need 3mb of JS sent across the wire for some basic interactions. No if it's a legacy system that was built before Vanilla JS caught up and standardized a lot of what jQuery brought to the table.

My wife and I just discovered that we have different beliefs about "this Friday" vs. "Next Friday". I never even knew there was another possibility, so it's cool to see this mentioned here so soon after.

Another excellent museum is the Kodiak Military History Museum at Fort Abercrombie, on Kodiak Island, Alaska. It has some old working telephone and teletype systems. You can watch the physical switching equipment do its magic. It is truly a

This is not the answer you're looking for, but it is my honest and genuine answer: I fixed it easily. I quit using GTM, GA4, and UA altogether. I have zero Google and Facebook scripts on my sites anymore. Particularly after the GA4 tra

I run the opposite direction whenever I see a passkey pop-up. I do a lot of IT support for small businesses, non-profits, and old people, and more concerning to me is the way passkeys are presented. Or, more accurately, not presented. They

This is very exciting to see momentum going in this trajectory. Kudos to all involved behind the scenes to even get to this point. Ideas are cheap, execution is hard, especially across so many disciplines, so major props for the coordinatio

No. Whenever the word "diet" is used with regards to not eating "this" or only eating "that", something has already gone wrong. A "diet" is a voluntary restriction (well, usually after some involuntar

I was just quoting Pollan yesterday, which is the quote right at the top of the article. "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants." Succinct, doesn't alienate anyone, or make a lot of rules, or shame you for doing the wrong thi

This is not representative of all/most Christian dads. On the contrary, my father has been a Bible professor for 30 years, and I've never met a better example of a loving father, to all 5 of his kids.

I saw the writing on the wall in 2017 and decided to never use stripe, and have been happily migrating new clients off of it since. There's a large market for offboarding stripe clients.
