In Chinas case the term would be overcapacity since it applies to the whole sector not just BYD.

Coming to about the same conclusion here. Companies are using my AGPLv3 project without following the license already and enforcing the license seems bleak with not much gain for me. Now they can just copyright-wash it through AI models.

Why would someone that is somewhat constrained w.r.t. spending pay for something they would get for free?

This illustrates a bit the price discrimination "problem" that is solved via ads. With ads, higher-income people probably earn you more money automatically. With the fee to remove advertising, you'd need to use all the price

And since the Chrome fork Edge is part of Windows now, this updater already runs on all Windows machines (e.g. the MicrosoftEdgeUpdateTaskMachineUA scheduled task). They did not even use Windows update for that one.

Kagi is just a meta search engine. They are already using Googles search index. They just find it too expensive. Guess they need to show ads to pay for the searches.

Don't do it. Perhaps obfuscate and delay as much as possible that you are not actually doing it. Perhaps get fired. Then go to court for wrongful termination (this would depend on the order being unlawful)?

The factories will be disassembling the laptops, taking out the batteries. Then the empty laptops will be sent back to China. That will increase exports to China as well.

As far as I understand Kagi displays results based on calls to Google and/or Bing. How can it be better than those then?

Previously we were spending on US weapons. E.g. F-35 or Patriots. We might phase that out. Your allies might not help you with the next Afghanistan. Germanies foreign reserves are nearly all treasuries. We might (naturally) diversify away.

With rational investors I doubt it. Space launch market size is like 20 billion. One launch is 70 million and they had 133 of them in 2024. Times two (currently at half market share) this would be 18 billion. That does not take into account

They also want "to keep the U.S. the dominant reserve currency in the world, and we will use stablecoins to do that". They are idiots with conflicting goals and not even a conception of plan.

Give the same amount of money to a better team and you'd get a better (finished) game. So the allocation of capital is wrong in this case. People shouldn't pre-order stuff. The misallocation of capital also applies to GPT-4.5/
