   You said it can be fundamentally different, and of course it can. But “it doesn’t scale” isn’t an argument by itself. In many areas, scale actually creates efficiencies. You’d need to explain what specifically about the larger scale makes t

   I hadn't seen DietPi before. Right now I'm running minimal Ubuntu - it seems reasonable enough. HomeAssistant looks interesting too.

   That is a decent idea. I have never used Tor though, and I can't say I know the consequences of running a relay. So I'd probably skip that.

   I just set this up at home yesterday (using an Odroid C2). A very pleasant experience so far. I'm trying to find other services that are worth running in a similar fashion. Any ideas?
