"regulators are considering steps to tighten emissions standards for diesel engines"? - interesting that the old emissions standards were (one presumes) absolutely fine, until somebody turns out to have been cheating.

Not the case in the UK, I suspect, which is where I live - most people will be familiar with A3/A4/A5. They've been the standard for the past 50-odd years, and penetration of non-ISO paper sizes is approximately 0%. Until I f

xargs is worse than find, I'd say, on account of its useless default mode of operation. If it accepted newline-delimited input, it would cater for every non-pathological case, rather than (as it does now) failing miserably on many reas

I only did upgrades on my old MBP too, and always found it fine. I went from Leopard to Snow Leopard to Lion to Mountain Lion to Mavericks. Nothing serious went wrong at any point (though I did have to reinstall or update the odd program),

Another way of doing it is to use variables and helper functions, particularly if you're going to be creating lots of regexps from similar components. This is what I usually do in Python. For example, while making no promises about the

VC++ has historically been the odd man out, but it's improved greatly in the last couple of versions. Certainly, VS2013 has reasonable support for a lot of C99 code. My C99 code builds on clang (OS X), gcc (Linux), and VC++ (Windows).

Going by the diagram, it looks as if substantial changes in direction are being counted as a new stroke (which is arguable). Look at `r' - I somehow doubt the pen is lifted between drawing one part and the next.

You can end up needing a lot of different RAII types, which can get a bit annoying. If you're trying to interface with anything that wasn't written with RAII in mind - e.g., any library that tries to be C-compatible - this is pret
