I’m curious about this as well. Seems similar to Nakama [1] and they’ve got some gotchas that aren’t right up front about payment. 1. https://heroiclabs.com/nakama/

This is something I’ve wanted to get into. Any advice? I’d actually like to start a small game development agency.

Thanks for the link. I’m surprised their kernel level anti-cheat didn’t cause a stir like Riot’s did with Valorant.

Is AI/ML being used in anti-cheat software for video games yet?

That sounds great. I’d love to do something like that. Any tips on how to find a gig like that?

I think the key is appending the word 'reddit' at the end of every search. Come to think of it, this feels like the precursor to ChatGPT since ChatGPT often feels like it responds with a Reddit comment that has been awarded and vo

Not OP, but sounds like a nice way to strengthen their bond. Also, your comment comes across as snide.

Sad seeing these types of derogatory comments on HN. Take it back over to r/conservative.

You can hate the King with a passion but still pay your taxes. Sometimes people feel like they barely have a choice and can hate them in-part for that too. I hate Verizon and Comcast with a passion but if it’s between them or no internet ac

Mostly trust. Finding it. Usually lacks the polish and presentation an official asset store would have. Unity's asset store is pretty top-notch and is a good one to compare other asset stores too. Unreal Engine's marketplace pales

Agreed for the most part, although there is the possibility of one being really polished and catching on.

From the official Godot docs: The reason other consoles are not officially supported are: - To develop for consoles, one must be licensed as a company. As an open source project, Godot does not have such a legal figure. - Console SDKs

I'd love official console support but it's not possible being open-source. Porting it yourself is an option, but not many will be inclined to do that and would have to opt for paying a third-party to do so.

There's a few private/third-party sties that serve as a marketplace for paid Godot assets.

"Animation re-targeting." Yeah, that'd be cool. However, there are tools like Mixamo by Adobe that provide lots of pre-made animations. As for an asset store for paid assets, there are already a few 3rd party sites for this.

GrubHub's Boston office is also forcing employees to return to the office after 2 years of working from home. I think it's asinine. One of the few good things to come from this pandemic was showing how much work could be done remo

Godot looks awesome but what keeps me from using it is the lack of console support. Does anyone know why that is? I’m guessing licensing and stuff like that. Might be third party companies out there that could be hired to do the porting, bu

Point taken. I should try a different dynamic mic. I hadn’t considered the one I was using was designed strictly for guitar amps. Anyone have dynamic mic recommendations for vocals?

As a bedroom producer, I’ll have to disagree. My $300 Rhodes condenser mic sounds way better for vocals than my e906 Sennheiser dynamic mic. I don’t have an optimal space, and haven’t even looked into the acoustics of the room.
