When I typed my original comment, that wasn’t there yet. I will have to read the article now that the archive link is posted. Thank you for pointing that out.

Stocks are good, so this okay. No scams or shenanigans in the stock market.

Personally, Bitcoin and Ethereum are the only two that I truly trust, but I’m always willing to learn about new projects. Edit: I look forward to seeing where we are in the crypto space in 15-30 years. Looking back, I expect it to be funny

If stocks go down and you hold long-term, ultimately selling for a profit, would you describe that as “investor ‘still’ thinks he can make money on stocks”? I respect that most of crypto is a scam, but it’s upsetting that a place like Hacke

Let’s hope that we start to see some more dense building occur. I get not wanting a skyscraper next to your ranch-style home, but the housing affordability crisis needs to end. If not for the good of our fellow citizens, at the very least s

I don’t feel like it’s horrible. If one of your founding members is focused on getting rich quick while the rest are trying to invest in the company long-term, then his departure very well could have helped the company ultimately succeed.

My biggest issue with this mentality is when a company makes obscene money, but the stock drops because it was slightly less obscene than expected. It’s just unrealistic and makes me feel like the entire stock market is a casino more than a

For a large amount of rural America, it’s the only option. That or a Dollar General with its bountiful selection of bananas and limes.

I don’t think that’s most poor people at Walmart. I do think that most poor people at Walmart are so worn down and tired that cooking a healthy meal can be difficult. Especially when there’s a box that only needs water and a few zaps from t

The nicer Walmarts usually have more checkout lanes open too. The lower-income Walmart near me has one open lane and then 15-20 uScans.

I see you have never been poor. I hope you never learn the harsh realities of poverty in our country. Edit: I remember watching my mom ration her insulin. I sure wish we could have been “welfare leeches” because that would have been super n

Walmart has all three, but it doesn’t mean that every customer can afford it. If you are broke, you are going to skip out on some of the healthier stuff.

While I agree overall, I think you are overlooking the time factor. Homemade lasagna vs something you throw in the microwave has a different time cost which is an important consideration for someone working multiple jobs.

I wish I was lying. Multiple people almost bumped into me and I did the Midwestern “oop my bad,” and these people didn’t even flinch or acknowledge my existence. I just felt so bad for them.

I don’t mean to be a bummer, but walking around a Walmart in a lower income area shows you just how bleak the situation is in the United States. My wife and I recently went to a Walmart near a “not good area” and it was depressing. Just abo

I wonder how much of the lower pay is tax based. Like you make less, but the company pays more in taxes for the healthcare and such that the UK provides. Not saying this is good or bad. Just curious about the reason for the pay discrepancy.

Crop rotation seems to be pretty widespread. I remember as a kid learning about it and knowing I’d see different crops each year to help the soil for future harvests.

Since OpenAI isn’t publicly traded, I don’t think it’s an issue. If they were to go public, rather than being purchased by Microsoft, I’d guess that this cap would go away. Wall Street isn’t know for caring about poor people.

I meant the headline kind of implying 18,000 fresh job cuts like the comment I was replying to was saying. Obviously, layoffs in the tech industry should concern all of us.

Would you trust any asset to hold its value if it goes 20x in a short period? I feel like Bitcoin will be less volatile down the road when adoption has picked up. Aka it’s less of a crazy speculative investment and more of an actual currenc
